OMG Hev thank youuuu! I'm so happy to hear all of this! So. Points of clarification.
You have parents that you live with. You don't work, per say, but you do help them with their work, yes?
Is Desi, like, for real your adopted daughter? Like, paper work and everything? And Jock is her paper work, adoptive father? So she has two BFFs raising her? That's kinda cool :) Where does she live, and where does Jock live? At your house? Does Desi live with Jock or you, or does she split time between both (if Jock doesn't live with you)?
I'm just trying to understand the family dynamic :)
PS I think your life is pretty cool, now that I understand it. I feel for you and your desire to be independent, but I also know people who are tethered by their disabilities. I can only imagine the frustration, because from the way you speak, if you didn't have your seizures, you would totally be 100% out there in the world doing your own thing and being awesome. Not that you're not being awesome now, but I feel bad that your disability hinders you from completely expressing your independence. I'm 19 and I struggle with not being able to express my independence. I can't imagine being 28 and having the problem!
